Equitable is looking for an experienced and dynamic Experiential Marketing Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the logistics for national tradeshows and events. The Manager will be responsible for managing the workflow for all services, coordinating with and communicating the status of the event plan to events team leader. The person will liaise directly with team members and stakeholders throughout the company to ensure processes and deadlines as well as goals and objectives are established and met throughout the planning and executing process. In addition, they will be responsible for completing project logistics including being the liaison to external resources for all assigned events. This position may be located out New York, NY or Charlotte, NC with a blend of in-office/remote work and up to 35% travel. Key Job Responsibilities Project Management/Events Management (50%)- Ability to initiate and manage multiple complex projects and prioritize key deliverables
- Experience in the planning and execution of small, and large, scale events.
- Proven ability to read, edit, negotiate, and interpret contractual documentation, including the ability to manage performance to contracts and agreements.
- Develop and deliver project plans and timelines for each assigned event incorporating deadlines and requirements across shared services teams.
- Develop and maintain detailed budget based on approved budget for each event/tradeshow.
- Responsible to Cvent portal and Workfront management.
- Experience in project grid management, budget management, progress and post event reporting
- Ability to collaborate on cost through various workstreams in the planning of events and tradeshows
- Deliver project estimates and timelines for each event incorporating deadlines and requirements across teams.
- Responsible for the initial estimation of cost and budget construction for all assigned events.
- Plan and execute assigned events (F&B, Safety/Health, Print, Shipping, Other services as requested by Events Lead)
- Close-out meeting and event summary and related projects. Send post event summary.
- Responsible for supporting all areas within the events team.
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience with events and tradeshow planning of varying sizes and complexity
- Experience working in Cvent (registration, budget management, supplier network) and other events management/project management tools
- Proven ability to read, edit, negotiate, and interpret contractual documentation, including the ability to manage performance to contracts and agreements
- Events Certifications
- Experience planning, designing and overseeing the execution of multi-sized events
- Highly organized
- Project management skills
- Time management and adherence to deadlines
- Ability to make quick decisions while on event site and a strong sense for customer service in all interactions
- Self starter with excellent work ethic and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done well
- Resolve conflicts and devise contingency plans, communicate decisions, deadlines and direction throughout the project, to key stakeholders and team
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to provide relevant information to various levels of the company
- Detail Oriented, problem solver and creative thinker
- 35% travel
