Overview
The Field Chief Technology Officer (Field CTO) is a senior customer-facing technology leader who drives technical strategy and managed services engagements for enterprise clients. As part of Oracle's Customer Success Services (CSS) team, the Field CTO plays a pivotal role in delivering strategic advisory and solution design. Partnering with both customers and internal teams, the Field CTO ensures that clients are able to leverage CSS' technical expertise and managed services offerings to solve complex business challenges and accelerate digital transformation.
This role blends deep technical knowledge with consulting excellence, enabling the Field CTO to influence and shape the technical vision of enterprise clients while ensuring alignment with the company's capabilities.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Technical Consulting
Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, leading technical discovery sessions to understand their business needs, IT landscapes, and long-term goals.
Provide managed services solution, offering expert guidance in designing and optimizing technology solutions.
Conduct in-depth assessments and craft tailored technology strategies that drive innovation and operational efficiency for clients.
Advise on best practices, IT architectures, and modernization efforts, aligning recommendations with clients' business outcomes through managed services.
Solution Services Design & Technology Strategy
Lead the design of scalable, robust services solution tailored to meet the specific needs of enterprise clients across Oracle Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS).
Translate customer challenges into actionable technology solutions and/or roadmaps, leveraging the CSS' managed services offerings, frameworks, and methodologies.
Oversee the technical architecture of complex, multi-phase projects, ensuring they meet clients' operational goals and align with industry standards.
Work closely with internal teams (sales, product, and engineering) to ensure seamless execution and delivery of client engagements.
Sales & Business Development Support
Collaborate closely with sales and product teams to support pre-sales services activities by offering technical expertise, contributing to proposals, and presenting managed services solutions to clients.
Participate in crafting detailed Statements of Work (SOW) and lead the development of technical scopes for client engagements.
Work with account teams to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities by understanding client pain points and recommending additional services and solutions.
Serve as a key member of client pursuit teams, helping to close deals by providing credible technical consulting and architecture validation.
Thought Leadership & Market Influence
Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert in cloud professional services, participating in speaking engagements, webinars, and conferences to elevate the company's profile.
Author case studies and content to highlight successful engagements and provide insights into emerging technology trends.
Stay current with emerging technology trends and best practices, and continuously update internal teams and clients on advancements that impact their industries.
Post-Sales Delivery & Technical Leadership
Partner with the managed services delivery teams to ensure smooth transitions from sales to delivery, and oversee the successful deployment of solutions.
Engage with clients post-delivery, offering ongoing advisory services to optimize the adoption (continuous innovation) of deployed solutions.
Build long-term relationships with clients by consistently delivering value and demonstrating a deep understanding of their business and technology needs.
Qualifications

Education :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.

Experience :
-
15+ years of experience in technology consulting, solution architecture, and/or managed services leadership.

Proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions and implementation with a focus on large-scale enterprise environments for Procurement, Supply Chain, Human Capital Management, and/or Corporate Finance

Extensive experience working with cloud platforms, software development, IT infrastructure, and emerging technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning, cybersecurity).

Excellent communication and presentation skills, simplifying complex technical concepts for C-level executives and non-technical stakeholders.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $157,000 to $270,800 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 60/40 - 65/35.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
