Data Engineer II
Data Engineer II at DV01, Inc. (New York, NY) Duties: Build scalable Data Pipelines in Scala/Spark to onboard portfolios, securitizations and benchmarks across multiple asset classes, leveraging GCP services for optimized performance. Migrate Scala-Spark-based data pipelines into DBT to simplify data transformation and the load process. Develop event-driven normalization framework, replacing a schedule-driven approach for real-time processing, achieving efficiency, flexibility, and real-time responsiveness. Manage monthly data releases for our industry-leading Non-QM, Jumbo-prime, and Auto Benchmarks. Operate as a bridge between the engineering and finance teams, contributing to a variety of integral processes that drive DV01 daily. Own the business logic of DV01s data pipeline, encapsulating all the knowledge accumulated across hundreds of datasets. Work on pipeline optimization across various stages of DV01s pipeline to optimize on time and money. Requirements: Masters degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field plus 2 years of professional experience in any role/position/occupation related to Data Engineering. Experience include: programming experience with Apache Spark, Scala, Java, R, or Python. Experience to build, migrate, and optimize large-scale data pipelines in Scala/Spark and GCP. Perform ad-hoc Data investigations with SQL. Develop and deploy applications running in a cloud-based environment like AWS/GCP/Azure. Telecommuting permitted within normal commuting distance.
