Server Assistant
As a Server Assistant at VERDE NYC, you play a key role in supporting the team in delivering outstanding dining experiences that reflect our brand’s creativity, quality, and energy. You help ensure smooth service, creating a welcoming and seamless experience for every guest.
Responsibilities:
- Assist servers in delivering outstanding dining experiences that reflect our brand’s creativity, quality, and energy.
- Support the service team by running food and beverages promptly and efficiently
- Clear and reset tables quickly to maintain smooth service flow
- Ensure tables and service areas are clean, organized, and properly set at all times
- Refill water and assist with guest needs throughout the dining experience
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
- Assist with basic service tasks such as polishing glassware, restocking stations, and preparing service areas
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, side stations, and back-of-house service areas
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and food service regulations
- Provide support to the team to help deliver a smooth and elevated guest experience
- Previous experience in a hospitality or food service environment is a plus (Server Assistant, Busser, or similar role)
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Ability to multitask and support the team under pressure
Compensation:
- $11/hr minimum wage when tipped (tip-based, pooled via an 8-point tip system)
- $16.50/hr minimum wage without tips
