Qualifications:

• Master’s in Psychology
• Experience in DD population and Behavior Modification Plans/Strategies

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Work with individual residents, resident groups and appropriate staff regarding the scheduling, planning, implementation and supervision of appropriate psychological programs (such as behavior modification, therapeutic discussion sessions, etc.).
• Participate in interdisciplinary planning for the purpose of monitoring and follow-up of individualized program plans.
• Assure resident records are maintained, which include evaluations, impressions and recommendations for further growth and motivation to participate.
• Initiate and participate in in-service training and interdisciplinary team meetings regarding resident evaluation and treatment plan development.
• Review and update, annually and as needed, the Comprehensive Functional Assessment and Abilities Profile.
• Review and update policy and procedure for Management of Resident Behavior, Behavior Modification and Resident Rights and Protection.
• Review and co-sign all documentation written by Assistant Applied Behavior Specialist.
• Attend resident psychiatric appointments, provide information and give feedback.
• Submit reports to Human Rights Committee regarding residents’ status and medication changes.
