Demographer/Statitical Analyst
Demographer/Statistical Analyst responsibilities include: Compiling and organizing data; Checking data for accuracy; Retrieving data from a PostgreSQL database; Conducting demographic and social statistics research and trends analysis; Maintaining and updating historical reference data; Utilizing statistical software for simple and multivariate data analysis; Compiling analytical reports and presentations for stakeholders, including Co-Executive Directors and Legislative Leadership.### ### Schedule:Monday-Friday 9a-5p ### Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors or advanced degree in Demography, Sociology, Statistics, or a related field; Knowledge of statistics, use of SPSS, SAS or other statistical packages, and Microsoft Excel; Familiarity with SQL queries.Preference will be given to candidates who: Have excellent written and verbal communication skills; Have the ability to synthesize data, visualize results, and present insights to nontechnical audiences; Have experience working with census and other large demographic data sets; Have a demonstrated ability to utilize AI prompts in research; Have knowledge of programming in Python; Have experience working with data visualization tools such as QuickSight, Tableau or similar programs; Have familiarity with preparing data for use in GIS environments ### Salary:$70k-$85K ### Benefits:Medial health, paid dental, paid vision, retirement, paid time off ### To Apply: Please submit your resume and cover letter to [email protected].
