Pathologist

Labcorp is seeking a Pathologist to join our team in Syracuse , NJ .

Work schedule: The work schedule for this position will generally be Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; flexibility required

Job Responsibilities

• Individual diagnostic evaluation and sign-out of hematopathology specimens
• Professional interpretation of hematopathology specimens: bone marrow and lymph node biopsies, peripheral blood smears and flow cytometry.
• Assure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety guidelines/standards
• Accurate and timely evaluation of specimens tested
• Assures good laboratory practice (GLP) and compliance with applicable accrediting and regulatory agencies
• Provide expert consultation as needed with clients and staff, in person, by phone or electronically

Minimum Qualifications

• Medical Degree from an accredited college/university
• NY and NJ Licensed Physician with Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology

Preferred Qualifications

• Subspecialty training in Hematopathology
• Board certification in Hematopathology

Additional Job Standards

• Previous experience working in a high-volume laboratory setting
• Organized and efficient problem solving and excellent communication skills are required, both written and verbal

**Pay Range: $300,000 - $350,000 annually

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.
