Lifeguard - Hidden Lake Camp
Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York is searching for lifeguards to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment at our summer camp waterfront. You'll protect and supervise campers and staff engaged in waterfront activities while assisting in the management of the physical operation of the waterfront facilities and equipment.
This position can be filled as a full-summer role (8 weeks total, June 27th – August 21st), or a partial summer at Hidden Lake Camp in Lake George (June 27th – July 31, 2026) or Lake Clear Camp in Saranac Lake, NY (August 1st - August 21st). Additionally, this role can be either hourly or a daily rate with room and board, and camp staff are generally off from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon each week. About the Role:
Our Camps are unique and shaped by the physical and outdoor spaces in which they take place, the team-building nature of our activities, and the welcoming environment that we strive to create. As a lifeguard for our camp, you will be responsible for the safety of everyone at the waterfront and you will work with the other lifeguards and the Aquatics Director to plan fun and engaging activities for our campers.
- Earn $80 - $85 per day (depending on experience), or $16 per hour.
- Work in the beautiful park-like setting of Hidden Lake Camp.

Required Experience:
- At least 18 years old by June 27, 2026
- Current lifeguard certification with waterfront skills
- Boating instructor certification or GSNENY Small Craft Safety course, or willingness to obtain
- Ability to interact positively with youth ages 7 to 17, and prior youth-focused work
- Ability to build and maintain positive professional work relationships.
