Client: Technology/Data Organization Role: Director, FP&A Salary: $200,000 - $220,000/annually Bonus Location: Downtown Manhattan, New York (*3 days a week onsite*) Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Executive Advisory Strategic Business Partnering: Serve as a trusted financial advisor to executive leadership and business unit heads, directly influencing decision-making on key growth initiatives. Executive & Board Reporting: Deliver high-impact financial performance updates, strategic insights, and recommendations to executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders/investors. Long-Range Planning: Drive the strategic narrative for executive discussions, aligning corporate financial planning with overarching long-term objectives. Financial Planning, Modeling & Execution Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the end-to-end execution of annual budgets, quarterly rolling forecasts, and multi-year strategic plans supported by robust scenario planning. Advanced Financial Modeling: Build and refine sophisticated models to evaluate strategic investments, capital allocations, potential M&A activities, and revenue drivers. Performance Metrics & KPIs: Establish, track, and monitor company-wide KPIs, partnering across teams to ensure financial accountability and continuous operational improvement. Operational Excellence & Team Leadership Team Development: Lead, mentor, and scale a team of FP&A managers and analysts, cultivating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth. Systems & Process Optimization: Continuously elevate FP&A processes, reporting tools, and enterprise financial planning systems to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with Accounting, Treasury, and Corporate Development to ensure seamless enterprise-wide financial management. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred. Experience: 15 years of progressive FP&A experience, including significant leadership roles managing multi-tiered teams within complex, global environments. Industry Expertise: Strong business acumen with deep familiarity in the SaaS and/or Life Sciences sectors preferred. Technical Proficiency: Expert financial modeling and advanced spreadsheet/data manipulation capabilities. Hands-on experience with modern enterprise FP&A planning platforms and ERP systems. Familiarity with modern business intelligence and data visualization platforms. Strategic & Communication Skills: Proven track record of presenting to C-suite executives and boards with exceptional clarity, narrative-building, and influence. Accounting Core: Deep foundational knowledge of GAAP and corporate finance principles.
