ABOUT THIS ROLE:

Santo Taco, we are currently seeking experienced hospitality members to join our team. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our taqueria operates efficiently and provides guests with exceptional service. This role consists of a cross-training module by teaching team members additional skills or tasks outside of their primary job responsibilities, allowing you to expand your knowledge and expertise.

DUTIES:

• Offer every guest a friendly and sincere welcome; anticipate and be responsive to guests’ needs.
• Maintain high standards of hospitality when taking guest orders
• Ensure stations are prep, stocked and set up for all services.
• Prepare dining room by setting tables, prepping stations and ensuring overall readiness before service
• Guide guests through food and beverage selection; suggesting your and Santo’s favorites; be knowledgeable of our offerings and answer all food preparation questions
• Basic knowledge of Mexican flavors and ingredients
• Proactively bus by constantly clearing, cleaning and resetting your work area, refilling waters, removing visible debris and ensuring overall cleanliness.
• Guide guests through our menu, offering drinks and Santo’s favorites.
• Coordinate food orders to support timely and efficient delivery to each guest.
• Reconcile cash drawer and credit card transactions

SKILLS:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to take initiative and be proactive in solving guests’ needs

REQUIREMENTS:

• Flexible schedule and ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have a positive attitude and be passionate about guest service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
• Assertive self-starter - takes initiative and can work well independently.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to handle and move objects of up to 50lbs.
• 1 year of experience in high-volume, preferably fast-casual kitchens
