Responsibilities

· Calculate and estimate the expected cost of construction projects.

· Prepare competitive bids through cost review and analysis.

· Provide accurate estimates based on detailed analysis of all cost information.

· Support successful project completion through collaboration and input.

· Perform duties overlapping with project management responsibilities.

· Estimate and manage millwright, mechanical, and rigging projects (including machinery assembly, erection, relocation, dismantling, and full process line/plant moves).

· Perform structural steel material take-offs and labor estimating.

· Manage job costing and construction accounting with financial oversight of projects.

· Assemble RFQ packages for fabricators and subcontractors.

· Read, understand, and manage bid and construction documents, including P&IDs, ISO’s, technical specs, and contract documents.

· Apply rigging knowledge, including cranes, hydraulic gantries, lift trucks, jack-and-slide systems, and specialized rigging methods.

· Utilize millwright knowledge for layout, machine installation, assembly/disassembly, leveling, and alignment.

Requirements

· Relevant technical designation from an accredited institution (or equivalent education and/or field experience).

· Heavy industrial steel mill experience is preferred.

· Ability to interpret technical information in written and diagrammatic forms.

· Strong math skills.

· Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

· Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

· Solid understanding of contract language.

· Construction experience is preferred.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

Pay: $100,000.12 - $130,000.48 per year
