Job Details
As a Defense Litigation Attorney, your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing all stages of litigation including trials, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
2. Conducting legal research and drafting a wide range of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and other case-related correspondence.
3. Representing clients in court and arguing motions.
4. Advising clients on their legal rights and obligations.
5. Collaborating with legal staff and other attorneys to develop defense strategies.
6. Negotiating with opposing counsel to achieve favorable case resolutions.
7. Staying updated with changes in laws and regulations that may affect the firm’s clients.
8. Maintaining the highest level of professional standards and ensuring strict client confidentiality.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Permanent Defense Litigation Attorney, you should have:
1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. A current license to practice law in the state.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a defense litigation attorney.
4. Proficiency in case management software and other legal technologies.
5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. The ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases.
8. A strong understanding of legal procedures and court rules.
9. Proven experience in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
10. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
