We’re seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with 1–3 years of experience to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting daily finance operations, including managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with month-end close activities, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of day-to-day financial transactions.
What You’ll Do:
- Play an instrumental role in scaling and strengthening the accounts payable and receivable infrastructure to support new projects, products, and business lines, including evaluating and implementing technology solutions to drive efficiency
- Manage day-to-day AP/AR operations, including processing vendor invoices accurately and on time, ensuring proper coding and approval workflows
- Generate customer invoices, proactively follow up on outstanding payments, and manage the collections process, including resolving billing discrepancies and customer inquiries
- Assist with cash and credit card reconciliation processes to ensure accurate cash reporting
- Prepare and/or review monthly account reconciliations, including bank and credit card reconciliations, roll-forwards, and flux analysis to support accurate reporting and financial planning
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Partner cross-functionally (e.g., Merch and Content teams) to establish best practices for tracking spend accurately and efficiently and ensuring financial results are reported properly
- Identify gaps in existing workflows and propose improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and other compliance-related requirements
- Support ad hoc projects as needed in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Who You Are:
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in public accounting and/or within media, entertainment, or e-commerce environments
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership over work product and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices
- Proficient in NetSuite or another major ERP system
- Advanced Excel skills with a willingness to dig into data and question inconsistencies
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus
- This position may be partially remote for those based on the east coast, with flexibility to work from home on certain days while maintaining regular in-person collaboration as needed
The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 USD. Compensation subject to experience and location. Published salary bands pursuant to transparency laws, and do not include possible variable compensation such as annual merit increases or bonus eligibility.
