Welcome to Gen Brooklyn ! We are a casual dining restaurant located in the heart of Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, dedicated to serving comforting, authentic Japanese cuisine and exceptional sushi.

Right now is an incredibly exciting time to join our small, close-knit kitchen team. We are currently in a dynamic phase of growth—actively refining our internal operations, streamlining our workflows, and elevating our recipes to take our comforting menu to the next level. We aren't just looking for someone to execute a static menu; we are looking for a collaborative partner who wants to be a part of this journey. We are a passionate work-in-progress, and we want someone who is excited to help us build, shape, and smooth out our daily systems so we can grow together. Every member here has a voice and a hand in our success.

We are seeking an experienced Sushi Cook who is passionate about Japanese comfort food, thrives during phases of growth, and wants to build something great with us for the long term.

What We Offer

• Competitive Pay: $20–$23/hour (based on experience).
  4 to 5 days a week.
• Balanced Shifts: Generally around 8 hours (starting between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM, through our 10:00 PM close and standard kitchen wrap-up).
• Growth Opportunities: Because we are actively evolving our operations, there is massive room for professional development, skill-building, and internal advancement.

• Experience: Prior sushi-making experience is a must.
