To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Minimum 5 years of documented HVAC maintenance and repair experience
Demonstrated knowledge and work history relating to HVAC system troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge of basic electrical concepts relating to HVAC maintenance and repair
Experience with process/production/industrial cooling systems a plus, but not required
Experience with hot water boilers, hydronic heating systems and pumps a plus, but not required
As an HVAC Specialist, you will:
Perform preventative maintenance service on various types of industrial/commercial equipment. Service consists of filter changes, belt changes, lubrication, electrical checks, and general inspection on the following types of equipment:
Packaged roof top units
Heat pumps
Cooling towers
Chillers
Ductless split systems
Fan coil/air handling units
Humidifiers
Exhaust/Supply fans
Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair on HVAC equipment.
Prepare Bill of Materials specific to job at hand
Record repair and maintenance activities within maintenance management software program.
Work individually much of the time but will be part of a larger working group depending on the task.
Work from ladders, powered manlifts, scaffolds, rooftops, operate forklifts in the performance of your daily duties
Conduct effective day to day communications with both internal and external customers to resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner.
Possess the ability to lift 50 pounds, and 60 pounds or more with assistance.
Shift is Monday through Friday – occasional overtime required, as is weekend overtime shifts to support planned facility shutdowns and unplanned emergency support of the HVAC Department and/or other facilities departments

Salary Range Transparency
Buffalo, NY $33.00–$40.00 Hourly

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
