Position Title: Ultrasound Tech - RDMS Registered

Location: Elmhurst, NY

Job Type: Contract | Local or Travel

Shift: Days (5 days/week)

Duration: 13-Week Assignment

Pay Rate:

• Hourly: $50 – $68/hr

• Weekly: $1,750 – $2,380/week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Ultrasound Tech for an exciting Travel or Local job in Elmhurst , NY.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols and physician requests.

• Ensure proper patient identification, explanation of procedures, and patient comfort throughout exams.

• Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining optimal image quality.

• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and completeness before submitting to physicians for interpretation.

• Maintain accurate documentation and enter patient data in the electronic medical record (EPIC).

• Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols.

• Collaborate with radiology and clinical teams to support patient care in an acute setting.

• Participate in ongoing training, including a 2-week onboarding program and EPIC system class.

• Work scheduled shifts, including alternating weekends and holidays, as required.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist training program (or military equivalent).

• Minimum of 1 year of general registered ultrasound experience.

• Experience in an acute care or hospital setting required.

• RDMS certification from ARDMS required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
