Student Assistant - 654 - Data Analyst - Albany

The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description The candidate will assist staff in the Center for Data Architecture, Intelligence & Support (DAIS) at OALTC. Specific tasks and projects may include, but are not limited to, generating statistical reports, running quality control/assurance assessments, assisting in generating data visualizations that tell a statistical story, helping to modernize data structures including the formation of a data lake, and to assist in operations related to the OALTC Data Academy to improve Center-wide efficiencies in data dissemination, data inference, and data structures.

The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be a matriculated undergraduate or graduate college student. Documentation of Fall 2026 matriculation and enrollment in the Fall semester must be submitted with your resume. Preferred Qualifications: • College or graduate student interested in exploring a career in public health administration• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail• Ability to work on multiple projects with various staff, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Ability to problem solve effectively• Flexible and responsive• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Strong interpersonal skills• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint) and other computer programs as needed •Experience in at least one of the following statistical computer programming languages: R; Python; SAS; SQL; Matlab; or related.• Applicants should ideally have at least two semesters remaining prior to graduation.
