Christian Dior Merchandising Manager, Fine Jewelry & Timepieces
Reports To: Senior Director, Merchandising, Fine Jewelry & Timepieces JOB PURPOSE: The Manager, Merchandising, Fine Jewelry & Timepieces is responsible for supporting the development and execution of merchandising strategies that drive sales, optimize inventory, and enhance boutique performance across the network. This role serves as a key liaison between Boutique teams, local partners, and Paris counterparts, ensuring strong communication, operational excellence, and effective follow-through across product assortment, inventory management, reporting, and business analysis. The position requires a highly organized, analytical, and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism. Job responsibilities • Maintain frequent communication with Boutique teams to share sales performance updates, identify
opportunities, and support business-driving actions to maximize sales.
• Regularly perform strategic analysis of stock performance and network strategy to propose action plans to
improve sales performance.
• Lead the local event (caravan) program, coordinating with FJ&T Regional teams to establish an annual
rotation calendar, determine localized assortments, ensure timely product dispatch and receipt between
boutiques, and manage comprehensive sales tracking for each event.
• Manage day-to-day product and inventory support for boutiques, including responding to product
inquiries, stock requests, and other retail needs in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct weekly stock rebalancing across boutiques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining
appropriate inventory levels by location.
• Manage client orders from initiation through completion, ensuring accurate and timely execution of
confirmed sales, buybacks, special orders, and final delivery.
• Support assortment and inventory planning for caravans, events, and new store openings, ensuring
operational readiness and product availability.
• Assist in defining and maintaining store assortments by collection and by store cluster to support business
strategy, client demand, and commercial objectives.
• Prepare product launch tools, including launch packs, product mappings, and selling materials, to support
successful product launches in boutiques.
• Participate in local FJ&T events as needed, including event preparation, inventory coordination, and
onsite support for selling teams. • Manage the corporate and retail consignment program, ensuring proper tracking, coordination, and
execution, while partnering closely with HR to maintain accurate documentation, support retrieval of
pieces, and allocate consignment items based on employee movements and business needs.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration with Boutique teams, local partners, and Paris
counterparts to ensure alignment and smooth execution of priorities.
• Provide guidance and day-to-day support to the trainee through a transversal management approach,
ensuring clear prioritization, effective coordination across stakeholders, and ongoing professional
development. Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare, review, and complete weekly sales reports, including Excel-based store recaps, business
performance summaries, and tracking against sales targets and key objectives.
• Monitor business performance and provide regular insights on sales trends, product performance, and
commercial opportunities.
• Participate in monthly forecasting meetings and provide detailed business analysis to support planning
and decision-making, including evaluation of performance drivers such as top-performing styles,
assortment gaps, historical trends, event cadence, product availability, and other market or operational
factors impacting monthly results. Profile SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
• Maintains a positive, energetic, and solutions-oriented attitude while building strong working
relationships across the broader corporate FJ&T team, including FJ&T Regional teams, Training, VM, and
the High End Merchandising Manager, to foster collaboration, alignment, and success in a fast-paced
environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurately under tight deadlines in a fast-paced
environment.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and highly effective organizational and time
management skills.
• Professional and effective communicator, able to build strong relationships with Boutique teams, local
partners, and Paris counterparts.
• Trustworthy, proactive, and results-driven self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the flexibility
to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
• Analytical, collaborative, and technically capable, with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage
merchandising systems and retail programs effectively. Additional information REQUIREMENTS:
• Full-time; must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with Friday designated as a
work-from-home day.
• Minimum of 5 years of prior merchandising and/or buying experience; Fine Jewelry & Timepieces
experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong knowledge of all other Microsoft Office programs, with strength in
PowerPoint. The selected candidate will be offered a salary within the range of $110,000 - $125,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility. The salary offered will be dependent upon the candidate's relevant skills and experience.
