DescriptionLooking for an practiced Marketing adjunct to assist with marketing campaigns, serve as the public relations liaison, and event planning for agency events among other development tasks and responsibilities.


Independent Living, Inc. is a consumer-directed, cross-discapability advocacy and service organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals living in the Hudson Valley region and we seek to hire a Marketing adjunct that would support the Chief Advancement agent with the marketing and development plan for the agency. Bachelor's degree, preferred. Two years of office management or clerical practice, required. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Bi-lingual, English/Spanish, a preferred.

tasks AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

»Support the Chief Advancement agent in implementation of campaigns and other marketing efforts.

»Supports the Chief Advancement agent in identifying grant-funding opportunities. Attends grant meetings and takes minutes. supervises grant tracker system.

»Assists in coordination of fundraising initiatives through solicitation of individual monetary donations, corporate philanthropy and sponsorships, donor program development and implementation, and annual giving campaigns.

»Assists in the development, editing and dissemination of external quarterly newsletters, annual reports, brochures, and other marketing and development related documents.

»Coordinates the dissemination of announcements to local/regional media, including notifications of special events, PSA's and community calendar entries.

»Under the direction of the Chief Advancement agent, serves as point of contact for community business partners, provider organizations and donor base. Supports cultivation and stewardship of new community partnerships.

»Assists in the planning process and day-of operations for community events. Responsible for coordinating community outreach materials and supporting program managers in preparing for outreach opportunities. Attends evening and weekend events as needed.

»Engages with and interviews consumers to support content marketing through storytelling. Assists in photo, video and story acquisitions.

»Develops and maintains an effective organizational system for filing documents, storing marketing materials, and calendaring departmental and agency advancement priorities.

»With training, maintains and monitors agency websites and social media accounts, adhering to agency brand and best practices guidelines.

»Maintains donor database, mailing lists and coordinates regular mailings to constituents.

»Ad-hoc projects and other tasks as assigned.

SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday 9am-5pm


PAY RATE: $19.75/hr - $21.50/hr

Requirements

»Excellent critical thinking and strategic planning expertise, with the capability to identify areas of opportunities and set actionable steps to achieve goals.

»Strong organizational expertise with the capability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing deadlines.

»Excellent written and verbal presentation expertise.

»Exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrated capability to catch errors and inconsistencies in documents and communication.

»Excellent customer service, analytical, follow-up and follow through, time management, and assertiveness expertise.

»Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint with preferred proficiency in Canva, Adobe Suite, and basic graphic design tools, and a basic knowledge of AI incorporation within these tools; creates visually engaging materials.

»Preferred proficiency in data management, including identifying essential data points, sorting data, tracking data, and using data to measure for success.

»Must have two years of demonstrated success in administrative support or clerical practice required.

»High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor's degree, preferred.

»Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred.
