Our client, a leader in the energy and power generation industry, is seeking a Project Engineer Manager to join their team. As a Project Engineer Manager, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting global project execution teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Project Engineer Manager

Location: Schenectady, NY

What's the Job?

  • Serve as the technical leader and manager to develop scope of work, plan schedules, and monitor engineering activities for customer projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and interface with proposal management, cost estimating, partners, customers, and internal engineering teams.
  • Manage the engineering execution of Balance of Plant (BOP) scoped projects from contract signing to completion.
  • Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams to identify and mitigate project risks and opportunities.
  • Lead technical resolution of project issues, ensuring contractual obligations are met while maintaining customer satisfaction.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or related STEM field from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 6 years of industry experience with increasing responsibilities in engineering or project management.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to lead programs and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical codes, power plant systems, and project management best practices.
