Join our team of highly trained professionals providing life-saving care and safe transport for patients. To succeed in this role, you must hold NYS EMT certification and a valid driver’s license. Physical fitness is essential, as you'll need to lift and transport patients with assistance. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to stay composed under pressure are key, along with a commitment to professional ethics and patient confidentiality.
As an EMT, you will deliver efficient, compassionate prehospital Basic Life Support (BLS), ensuring patient safety and stabilization during emergencies. You'll assess and monitor patients, provide prompt medical care, and ensure smooth and secure transport to medical facilities. Your role includes maintaining and operating emergency vehicles and equipment, collaborating with emergency personnel and hospital staff, and documenting patient care while adhering to established medical protocols.
