Job Title: Electrical Project Manager Job Description We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to assist in managing electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role involves supporting project scheduling, job tracking, and coordination with field supervision, as well as reviewing drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals. You will be responsible for tracking project progress and assisting with reporting on cost, schedule, and scope. Additionally, you will help with budget tracking, change orders, and cost control, and support monthly billings, job cost reports, and cash-flow monitoring. Maintaining accurate project documentation and coordinating with Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, and vendors are also key aspects of this role. Responsibilities- Assist in managing electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Support project scheduling, job tracking, and coordination with field supervision.
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals.
- Track project progress and assist with reporting on cost, schedule, and scope.
- Help with budget tracking, change orders, and cost control.
- Support monthly billings, job cost reports, and cash-flow monitoring.
- Maintain accurate project documentation.
- Coordinate with Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Assist with material procurement and delivery scheduling.
- Participate in project meetings with owners, general contractors, and design teams.
- Support enforcement of jobsite safety standards and company policies.
- Assist with permit documentation and inspections as required.
- Ensure work complies with NYC electrical codes and project specifications.
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
- 4-7 years of professional experience in the construction industry working on New Construction High Rise Residential Projects - Electrical Side.
- Knowledge of Electrical Codes and ability to read blueprints.
- Project experience throughout the 5 boroughs.
- Procore experience.
- Experience with electrical construction, circuit installation, electrical wiring, conduit, and blueprint reading.
Work Environment
- The work environment involves overseeing 1-2 projects at a time, with project values ranging from $6-$20 million.
- All projects are New York City based, throughout the 5 boroughs, focusing on New Construction High Rise Residential and Commercial projects including electrical service, emergency generators, cogeneration systems, CCTV, intercoms, and fire alarms.
- Employees are evaluated on their technical ability, speed of task completion, and confidence to work independently.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $61.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
