Job DescriptionDesign Studio Manager / DirectorLocation: New York City)Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentWork Schedule: 5 days in-office, 40 flex days (WFH) Hours are 8- 5pm Start Date: ASAPTravel: Up to 10%About the RoleOur client is seeking a Senior Design Studio Manager to lead their NYC Communications team. This role partners closely with the Creative Director in their NYC office and Directors in other locations with biweekly travel to the Pennsylvania office (they provide transportation or will reimburse for travel) to translate creative vision into operational excellence. You'll manage workflows, resource allocation, and team development while ensuring brand consistency across both design hubs.Key ResponsibilitiesCreative Operations & LeadershipTranslate creative vision into actionable plans, timelines, and resource needs.Lead and mentor creative professionals and project coordinators.Manage workflows, capacity planning, and operational processes.Collaborate with other office's design team to ensure unified brand execution.Project ManagementDevelop detailed project plans with milestones and deliverables.Coordinate communication between creative, marketing, and stakeholders.Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely, on-budget delivery.Cross-Office CollaborationMaintain brand standards across NYC and Pennsylvania teams.Facilitate creative reviews and best practice alignment.Coordinate cross-office assignments and resource sharing.Team DevelopmentFoster a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.Lead recruiting and talent acquisition efforts.Support strategic planning and capability development.Manage documentation and stakeholder presentations.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in a related field.8+ years in creative operations, project management, or team leadership.5+ years leading creative teams in agency, manufacturer, or reseller environments.Skills & KnowledgeStrong leadership and project management across multi-office teams.Experience with budget management and brand consistency.Knowledge of integrated marketing communications (digital, print, video, experiential).Familiarity with creative workflow tools and collaboration platforms.B2B product or marketing experience preferred.In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
