Momentum Environmental provides specialized environmental, industrial and waste management services to several leading industries in the northeast. The Billing Clerk works closely with both management and project managers to provide invoicing, data management, estimate writing, project support and customer support.
Although this position is based in the Bath, NY location, the position will cover all invoicing duties for the Momentum coverage area for projects up to $75,000.00 (to start). The Billing Clerk shall contribute to the Momentum billing department by handling invoicing to designated customers as well as cross-training with other billing staff. As a full time administrator in the Bath, NY location, the Billing Clerk may be requested to assist with general office tasks, field services support including but not limited to: paperwork collection/disbursement and an overall office resource for the field.
Essential Responsibilities
- Train and become fluent with billing and project management software
- Collect and extract data needed for billing, closure reports, etc.
- Generate invoices in multiple styles primarily: Emergency/T&M, DEC contract, AIA construction, Lump Sum (pre-estimated)
- Cost and retainage tracking for construction-based projects
- Assist with submittals, compliance for contracts/subcontracts
- Assist in collections, as needed
- Provide general administrative support, as needed
- High School Diploma Required, associates or bachelors degree in pertinent field preferred
- Self-starter such as finding work to do between direct assignments, follow through with tasks, and take ownership and pride in work performed
- Consistent and reliable work ethic by adhering to work schedules utilizing time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within defined deadlines
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- High emotional intelligence and ability to develop relationships/ trust with team members
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively interact with management, other departments, and vendors
- Previous experience in an office/billing environment is preferred
