Stock Advisor
Position Summary : As a Stock Advisor, you will support the efficient processing of
inbound and outbound shipments, inventory management, e-commerce fulfillment,
and ongoing stockroom organization. You will ensure that merchandise is accurately
received, properly stored, and maintained in pristine condition in accordance with
Printemps’ high standards.
You will play a key role in maintaining and regularly reorganizing the stockroom to
support operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and seamless omnichannel
execution. Working closely with the sales, merchandising, and e-commerce teams, you
will support timely replenishment, order fulfillment, and ship-from-store operations.
Your strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and care in handling luxury
merchandise will directly contribute to an exceptional client experience and the overall
success of store operations.
Physical Requirements : This role requires the ability to stand and walk for extended
periods, lift and move merchandise and boxes (up to approximately 40–50 lbs), bend,
reach, and climb ladders or step stools safely. Candidates must be comfortable
working in a fast-paced stockroom environment and handling luxury merchandise with
care and precision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory & Stock Room
Receive, unpack, and accurately process incoming and outgoing merchandise
(vendor deliveries, transfers, RTVs).
Ensure all items are properly tagged, labeled, steamed, folded, and stored
according to brand and visual standards.
Maintain an immaculate, well-organized stockroom
Perform regular cycle counts and participate in full physical inventories.
Identify, document, and immediately escalate discrepancies, shortages,
damages, or quality concerns.
Receiving & System Accuracy
Verify all inbound deliveries against packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase
orders to ensure accuracy in style, color, size, quantity, and condition.
Inspect merchandise upon receipt to identify damages, shortages, overages,
or quality issues, and escalate discrepancies immediately following internal
protocols.
Accurately receive merchandise in inventory systems.
Ensure all items are properly scannable and system-updated to maintain real time accuracy.
Maintain inventory integrity across all channels, including store and e commerce, by following correct receiving, transfers and fulfillment procedures.
Support internal and external audit by adhering to internal controls and
compliance requirements.
Sales Floor, Stockroom & Omnichannel Support
Replenish the sales floor promptly and discreetly from the stockroom to
maintain visual and presentation standards.
Maintain stockroom organization to ensure efficient product flow between
back-of-house and the sales floor.
Support omnichannel initiatives such as ship-from-store, same-day fulfillment,
and special events.
Coordinate closely with sales and merchandising teams to prioritize urgent
replenishment and client-driven requests.
E-Commerce Fulfillment & Returns
Pick, pack, and ship e-commerce orders accurately and within timelines.
Inspect merchandise prior to shipment to ensure condition, accuracy, and
brand presentation.
Package orders according to luxury standards, including protective materials,
branded packaging, and documentation.
Process e-commerce returns, exchanges, and cancellations in accordance with
policy.
Communicate inventory exceptions (out-of-stock, damages, mispacks)
promptly to leadership.
Loss Prevention & Inventory Integrity
Adhere strictly to all loss prevention, security, and internal control procedures.
Maintain heightened awareness when handling high-value and sensitive
merchandise.
Support shrink reduction efforts by maintaining accurate counts, clean
stockroom practices, and disciplined system execution.
Comply with all access controls, camera coverage protocols, and security
guidelines.
Housekeeping Standards
Maintain a clean, orderly stockroom and back-of-house environment at all
times.
Break down and dispose of cartons, packaging materials, and waste
according to safety and sustainability guidelines.
Keep workstations, shelving, rolling racks, and equipment clean and properly
arranged.
Support daily, weekly, and seasonal housekeeping routines to uphold luxury
back-of-house standards.
Operational Excellence
Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized back-of-house environment.
Support shipping, transfers, RTVs, markdowns, and seasonal transitions.
Assist during peak periods, promotions, employee sales, and special events.
Collaboration & Professionalism
Partner cross-functionally with corporate, sales, visual, e-commerce, logistics,
and management teams.
Communicate clearly regarding inventory status, order priorities, and
operational issues.
Demonstrate reliability, flexibility, discretion, and a strong sense of ownership.
Education, experience, and skills needed:
Minimum of 2 years of recent and relevant experience in a stock or inventory
related role, preferably in a luxury retail environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong understanding of luxury products, their value, and how to handle them
with care and attention to detail.
Excellent ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and keep stock areas
organized and tidy.
Keen eye for detail in product presentation, stock organization, and inventory
management to ensure high-quality standards.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, organizing, and
moving merchandise as needed.
Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills;
proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
Clear and effective communication with colleagues, management, and other
departments to ensure efficient stock management.
Ability to identify and address any inventory discrepancies or stock issues quickly
and efficiently.
Willingness to adapt to changing store needs and assist in different areas of the
store as required.
