Food and Nutrition Services Aide

Regional Economic Community Action Program, Inc. (RECAP) is dedicated to serving our community by providing high-quality food and nutrition services. As a Food and Nutrition Services Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring safe and nutritious meals are prepared and delivered to those in need. Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and production in collaboration with the Cook.
• Help maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Support accurate record keeping, including allergy postings and dietary accommodations.
• Serve as backup cook during absences to ensure uninterrupted food service operations.
• Deliver meals and perform daily driving duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in large-scale food service preferred.
• Able to kneel, bend, and lift bulk foods or food bins weighing 30-50 pounds, as well as hot food caddies.
• Ability to work in conditions that may include exposure to inclement weather, noise, and kitchen equipment.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality required.
• Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check, drug screening, physical examination, and TB test.
