IT Help Desk Job in Rochester, NY:

Contract to Hire Role: Hourly Pay Rate - $19.00 per hour based on experience, education, geographic location and other factors.

To be successful in this role, candidateneeds to be an excellent communicator who enjoys helping people and is friendly and patient. An ability to resolve Information Technology product or service problems will also be needed.

Responsibilities of the IT Help Desk Job in Rochester, NY:

Manage inbound calls in an efficient manner

Obtains client information by answering telephone calls; interviewing clients; verifying information.

Strong listening skills to hear what the client is saying and to understand their issue

Ask clarifying questions to try and get to the root of the issue

Good trouble-shooting skills

Tests resolution with client to verify its fixed

Desired Work Experience of the IT Help Desk Job in Rochester, NY:

Call Center experience, or experience helping people over the phone

General IT experience

Experience with ticketing software

Knowledge of Windows OS

Familiarity with outlook / Office 365

Experience with Active Directory would be a plus
