What You'll Do:

• Organize, review, and manage large volumes of records related to litigation, including medical, employment, financial, and insurance records .
• Coordinate requests and retrieval of records from clients, healthcare providers, government agencies, and other sources.
• Prepare records for discovery and trial , ensuring compliance with court rules and legal procedures.
• Maintain detailed records databases and assist in document production and management.
• Work closely with attorneys, clients, and third parties to ensure timely and efficient record processing.
• Utilize case management software and legal technology to streamline workflows and enhance document organization.

Who You Are:

✅ 5+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal professional with a focus on records management and litigation support .
✅ Knowledge of legal discovery processes, HIPAA compliance, and confidentiality requirements .
✅ Highly organized and detail-oriented , with strong analytical and document review skills .
✅ Excellent communication and coordination skills , able to liaise with external vendors and internal legal teams.
✅ Proficient in legal software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite .

Responsibilities

• Ability to assist attorneys with retrieving necessary records.
• Independently obtain authorizations and request, follow up on, and organize records (medical, billing, etc.)
• Ability to manage trial preparation including: trial exhibits, charts, trial notebooks, and subpoenas
• Enter your billable time on a contemporaneous basis
• Work as part of a team with all levels of experience

Requirements

• Paralegal certification (preferred)
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal
• Ability to work in the New York office at least 3 days per week.
• Experience in the state of New York and Connecticut is highly encouraged
• Solid understanding of civil litigation (state and federal deadlines and rules)
• High proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
