Line Cook
This is an Americana bistro-style kitchen serving oysters, burgers, braised meat sandwiches, salads, and late-night food to a busy dining room and bar crowd. The kitchen is compact, the work comes in waves, and teamwork matters. Everyone helps wherever needed — including occasional dishwashing and general cleaning duties. Note: most communication in the kitchen happens in Spanish so being at least converasational in Spanish is a big advantage.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Works clean, organised, and efficiently under pressure
- Has experience on fryers, flat tops, prep, and line cooking
- Is comfortable shucking oysters
- Understands urgency without sacrificing consistency
- Can communicate well and work closely with a small team
- Is reliable for late-night shifts (kitchen closes at 1AM)
Experience in busy bar/restaurants is strongly preferred.
This is a good fit for someone who enjoys a collaborative environment, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable jumping between stations and responsibilities as service demands.
