Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: Patchogue, NY 11772
Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: 5x8-hour shifts (15:00 – 23:30)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to support laboratory operations within an acute care hospital setting. This role is responsible for accurate specimen collection, patient interaction, and adherence to strict safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for inpatient populations
- Ensure proper patient identification and accurate specimen labeling
- Maintain integrity and accuracy of collected samples
- Follow infection control, safety, and laboratory protocols
- Provide professional and compassionate patient care during procedures
- Transport specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies
- Collaborate effectively with nursing and laboratory staff to support patient care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient phlebotomy experience (required)
- Active Phlebotomy certification (required)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a hospital/acute care environment
