The incumbent will provide basic security design assistance and consultation for various projects and initiatives. The Information Security Associate Engineer will receive direct supervision and guidance from Information Security Directors and other Information Security Engineers. This is a full time, remote position within the United States. Mayo Clinic will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position including F1 OPT STEM. **Qualifications** Bachelor's degree or Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related major, OR High School diploma and three (3) years' experience in the information security field. The Information Security Associate Engineer also requires the following skills/abilities. - Basic experience with security analysis and penetration studies for client/server-based systems and networks. - Basic understanding of security controls for network, application and operating systems and work experience with logical access controls to ensure confidentiality. - Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking. - Evidence of strong communication skills. - Demonstrated interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively in a team environment as a participant. - Capacity to work independently and willingness to seek advice/assistance.
