As we continue to grow, we have an opening for an experienced Field Operations Lead to lead the successful completion of a variety of projects. The role is multi-dimensional and fast-paced, as the Field Operations Lead is responsible for juggling many aspects of multiple projects simultaneously. The right candidate will have the ability to oversee surveys, coordinate teams of installers and subcontractors, ensure the accuracy and quality of work, and manage testing and training activities. The primary responsibility of the Field Operations Lead is to ensure projects are progressing as required, teams are trained properly, and installers are scheduled as required to fulfill customer and project requirements.

Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all daily activities are assessed and in line with VIRSIG’s “WHY”
  • Lead by example and demonstrate VIRSIG Core Values while carrying out duties of the Operations
    Department
  • Supervise and coordinate onsite installation activities from initiation to completion
  • Conduct thorough site surveys to assess project requirements and constraints
  • Adhere to and track project plans, timelines, and budgets in conjunction with the assigned Project Manager
  • Assure projects are completed as designed; ensure proper labeling of components, connections, and systems are in place
  • Maintain design drawing redlines and report back detail of any variation to the assigned Project Manager and/or Engineering for project acceptance and turnover documentation
  • Lead and motivate teams of installers and subcontractors
  • Provide guidance and direction to ensure projects are executed efficiently and within specified timelines
  • Verify the accuracy and quality of installation work performed by teams
  • Implement and enforce industry standards and best practices
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues promptly
  • Oversee testing procedures to ensure the functionality and reliability of installed systems
  • Develop and implement expectations for installers and subcontractors
  • Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for onsite clients during project execution
  • Address client concerns and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate activities and access requirements with client and provide regular project updates as directed
  • Always act as “our customer’s best service provider” thereby ensuring VIRSIG is the customer’s first choice for service and future projects
  • Manage and optimize resources assigned to the installation effort, including equipment, materials, and personnel
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure timely availability of required resources
  • Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints
  • Assure parts and materials are received and properly accounted for
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, reports, and correspondence
  • Proactively provide timely updates of issues, concerns, and needs as well as assisting in developing solutions to keep projects on budget and on schedule
  • Provide input for comprehensive reports on project status, performance, and completion
  • Participate in project closeout and acceptance

Qualifications & Experience

  • Associate degree with supervisory and/or field experience
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Proven experience in project management and field operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of installation processes and industry standards
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional
    success
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical
    concepts
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines
  • Aptitude and ability to troubleshoot technical issues and solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm; occasional overtime may be required
  • Ability to support on-call team 24/7 when and as required
  • This is a field-based position; work-related travel will be required (50-75%)
