Sign Service & Installation Technician
Lockport. Ulrich Sign Company. Sign Service & Installation Technician. $45,000 - $60,000/year.
Local sign company seeking a skilled, safety-focused technician to install, service and repair both electrical and non-electrical signage in commercial and industrial settings. You will handle everything from site prep to wiring and troubleshooting, working with a team and directly with clients. Some electrical training or experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, transport, unload & safely prepare signage & installation equipment
- READ and interpret work orders, drawing & wiring diagrams to guide installs
- Safely install various sign types (e.g. LED channel letters, light boxes, vinyl, pylons)
- Perform electrical wiring and low volt work (e.g LED driver, ballasts, line voltage, power supplies / drivers up to ~ 277v)
- Service and repair signs - troubleshooting lighting, replacing components (LED's, ballasts, drivers), retrofitting older signs to LED's.
- Use bucket trucks, ladders, drills, welding equipment, grinders & other tools safely
- Adhere to electrical & building codes, safety regulations (OSHA) and company policies
- Clean up job site post - installation, maintain tools & vehicles
- Communicate professionally with clients
