Senior Accountant - Family Office
Our client, a family office in NYC, is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist with their investments across the US.
Responsibilities:
- Manage entity close processes, including workpaper preparation and coordination with external accountants
- Prepare monthly management reports and record royalty income
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements, tax projections, and management fee calculations
- Oversee real estate tax payments, CAM reconciliations, and related compliance filings
- Review tax returns, respond to notices, and coordinate audits
- Prepare 1099s and support due diligence, acquisitions, refinancing, and other transactions
- Assist with nonprofit accounting, bookkeeping, and financial forecasting as needed
- Process monthly distributions, wire transfers, and cash receipt analyses
- Review and approve invoices and payment requests
- Support special projects, occasional administrative tasks, and limited travel as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience working in public accounting or in a family office environment
