Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting the mechanical and electrical components of packaging equipment on the production floor. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical experience or knowledge, and those who have completed a Trade or Technical School Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all mechanical and some electrical components of the packaging equipment on the production floor.
• Ensure that all packaging equipment is mechanically and electrically safe to operate and remains in good running condition at all times.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues with all packaging equipment.

• 6 months to 2 years of mechanical experience or knowledge.
• Trade School or Technical School Certification (such as Boces, Lincoln Tech) with limited hands-on experience.
• Strong ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Experience with troubleshooting, mechanical maintenance, and using hand tools.
• Experience with blueprints, production, and mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of GMP, manufacturing processes, and industrial maintenance.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year of electrical experience.
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance.

Work Environment

Work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment specializing in the production of wet wipes. We operate multiple shifts, with current openings for the 2nd shift (3 PM - 11 PM, Monday - Friday) and the 3rd shift (11 PM - 7 AM, Sunday - Thursday). Employees must wear steel toe boots and no visible jewelry. PPE and lab coats will be provided. You will work on various packaging machines, including RA sealers, Bartelts, NEM Cappers, and others.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
