Job Summary
Rensselaer at Work is accepting applications for Adjunct faculty. Adjunct appointments are part time and are made for a single semester at a time. Appointments are contingent upon available funding, enrollment, satisfactory performance, and the business needs of Rensselaer at Work. All appointments are renewable.


Minimum Qualifications
Candidates are expected to possess a terminal degree, typically a Ph.D., in an area significant to the subject matter, and be able to provide evidence of effective teaching.


An Adjunct classification is a non-tenured temporary academic appointment. An Adjunct Faculty must have the prerequisite academic teaching practice and credentials in the course subject area and discipline.


Minimum expertise, expertise, and Abilities
In addition to deep expertise of the subject matter being taught, candidates must be skilled communicators in multiple settings and methods, including teaching, presenting, writing, and electronic communications. Candidates are expected to be proficient in current electronic devices and personal computing technology.

Starting income/Rate

Expected hiring range :
Adjunct: $9800 per semester
