Overview :

Location: Remote

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000

We are seeking a Product Owner with a strong IT background who will support our client on their Agile development team. This role will work closely with stakeholders, business analysts, developers, and UX/UI teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business and customer needs. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong skills to translate business requirements into user stories, manage the product backlog, and ensure that the development team understands the product goals.

Duties :

• Ability to gather, translate, and prioritize business requirements into clear user stories

• Review of acceptance criteria.

• Ensure functional specifications while maintaining a well-organized and strategically aligned product backlog.

• Lead Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, standups).

• Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, developers, UX/UI teams, and QA to ensure shared understanding of product goals and feature priorities.

• Strong understanding of IT systems, SDLC, cloud/APIs, and product performance metrics.

• Communicate complex technical concepts in a way that drives successful product outcomes.

• Manage stakeholder expectations, gather continual feedback, and facilitate discussions.

• Present product vision and updates to ensure alignment across business and technical teams.

• Make decisions on product features and scope in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Monitor the product lifecycle and suggest enhancements for future iterations.

• Collaborate with QA to ensure proper testing coverage and acceptance criteria are met.

• Track and report on product performance, using metrics to inform future Development.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or related field

• 1 – 3 years of experience collaborating with stakeholders and development teams.

• 1 – 3 years of experience defining and prioritizing product backlog to ensure clarity and alignment with business goals.

• 1 – 3 years of experience creating detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.

• 1 – 3 years of experience leading sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily standups with Agile teams.

Desirable Qualifications :?

• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), APIs, and/or enterprise IT systems

• Experience in UX/UI design principles and tools

• Background in software engineering or technical analysis is a plus
