Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Albany, NY 12208 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 20, 2025
• End Date: January 18, 2026
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Healthcare Setting: Operating Room (OR)
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 36
• On Call: Possible on-call requirement
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2200-$2260

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact eligible
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an OR RN or Operating Room Registered Nurse
• Proven clinical experience in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgeries
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed per facility policy
• Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical support skills
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced surgical healthcare environment

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures in the operating room
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams with complex procedures, including cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular cases
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Maintain a sterile field and strictly follow infection control protocols
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by the healthcare facility
