Polisher
Weekend availability a must! Schedule: Thursday - Sunday.
The Polisher is responsible for ensuring all glassware, flatware, china, and serving pieces are cleaned, polished, and presentation-ready to meet the organization's service standards. This role supports front-of-house and culinary operations by maintaining a consistent supply of spotless and properly organized service ware.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Polish and inspect glassware, flatware, china, and specialty serving pieces to ensure they are free of water spots, fingerprints, chips, and defects.
- Organize and store polished items according to established standards.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels of service ware for daily operations and events.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of dining rooms, events, and service stations as needed.
- Communicate inventory shortages, damaged items, and replacement needs to management.
- Follow proper sanitation, safety, and handling procedures at all times.
- Keep polishing stations, storage areas, and workspaces clean and organized.
- Support dishwashing and stewarding operations during peak business periods when required.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new service ware deliveries.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, hotel, catering, or stewarding experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
