They are seeking an experienced Property Accountant with a strong background in multifamily real estate accounting to join a growing organization focused on modernizing accounting operations within the real estate industry. This role combines deep accounting expertise with cross-functional collaboration, offering the opportunity to work closely with finance, operations, and technology teams to enhance accounting processes and deliver best-in-class solutions. This is a highly visible, client-facing position for someone who enjoys solving complex accounting challenges, improving workflows, and serving as a trusted advisor to both internal teams and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Serve as the subject matter expert on property accounting processes, with an emphasis on multifamily real estate. Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting workflows and translate operational needs into scalable business solutions. Provide expertise on account reconciliations, financial reporting processes, internal controls, and audit readiness. Collaborate directly with client accounting and finance teams to understand business needs and recommend process improvements. Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce risk across accounting functions. Act as a trusted liaison between accounting, operations, and technology teams to ensure effective communication and successful execution of initiatives. Qualifications 8 years of experience in property accounting, client accounting, or real estate accounting. Strong knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliations, month-end close, internal controls, and audit support. Experience within the multifamily real estate industry is highly preferred. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with experience interacting directly with clients or business stakeholders. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Passion for leveraging technology and process improvements to drive operational excellence.
