Director of Acquisition

Our client is a private equity backed platform focused on acquiring established medical aesthetics and skin care clinics across New York. The business targets high quality operators offering services such as injectables, skin treatments, and non surgical cosmetic care, with a strategy centered on thoughtful acquisition, disciplined growth, and long term value creation. This is a brand new position reporting directly to the Founding Partner and CEO and has been created to lead market mapping, opportunity sourcing, and early stage acquisition activity across the target market.
Compensation
- Base salary of $160,000 to $190,000.
- Target bonus of 20% of base salary.

Responsibilities
- Identify medical aesthetics, injectables, skin care, and related clinic businesses that may be suitable acquisition targets.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clinics across New York and surrounding priority markets.
- Conduct market mapping and research to uncover independent operators, emerging groups, and multi location businesses aligned with the acquisition strategy.
- Lead outbound outreach to founders, owners, brokers, and industry intermediaries to originate new opportunities.
- Assess targets based on ownership profile, scale, profitability, growth potential, market position, and strategic fit.
- Prepare target profiles, market summaries, and acquisition briefs for review by the Founding Partner and CEO.
- Track live conversations, pipeline activity, and follow up items with strong discipline and consistency.
- Support early stage diligence by gathering financial, operational, and market level information on prospective acquisitions.
- Build relationships across the market to generate proprietary deal flow and off market opportunities.
- Monitor competitive activity, consolidation trends, and category developments across the medical aesthetics and clinic landscape.
- Coordinate with external advisors and internal stakeholders as opportunities move forward.
- Represent the firm professionally and credibly in confidential acquisition related discussions.
- Operate independently with strong judgement and sound commercial instincts in a lean environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in acquisitions, private equity, investment banking, corporate development, business development, or a related sourcing role.
- Direct experience identifying, evaluating, and pursuing acquisition opportunities.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to assess business quality, growth potential, and strategic fit.
- Proven ability to build pipeline through research, outreach, networking, and relationship development.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage owners, advisors, brokers, and senior stakeholders professionally.
- Comfort working directly with a Founding Partner and CEO in a highly entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong organizational discipline with the ability to manage multiple live opportunities at once.
- High level of discretion, maturity, and follow through.
- Experience in healthcare services, medical clinics, aesthetics, skin care, or adjacent consumer health sectors is a strong asset.
- Ability to prepare clear internal summaries and opportunity assessments that support decision making.
- No direct team management is required, so success in this role will come from independent execution, strong sourcing instincts, and disciplined follow through.
