Data Quality & Governance Lead - Healthcare Background

We are seeking an experienced Data Quality & Governance Lead to drive enterprise-wide data governance and data quality initiatives within a healthcare payer environment. This strategic leadership role will serve as the primary point of contact for the Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud platform, overseeing data catalog, business glossary, lineage, stewardship, and governance workflows. The ideal candidate will lead governance councils, define data quality KPIs and scorecards, and guide teams in establishing effective data quality frameworks across the organization.
The candidate will partner with business and IT stakeholders to design data quality dashboards, monitor governance metrics, and ensure compliance with data usage and regulatory standards. This role requires strong expertise in healthcare data domains including claims, eligibility, and provider/NPI data, along with experience in CollibraDQ, InformaticaDQ, or similar data quality tools. A solid understanding of SQL, ETL/ELT architectures, and enterprise data management practices is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise data governance and data quality strategy initiatives
- Manage Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud including catalog, glossary, lineage, and stewardship workflows
- Design and oversee data quality scorecards, KPIs, dashboards, and governance metrics
- Facilitate governance councils and stewardship forums across business and IT teams
- Define and enforce data governance standards, policies, and compliance practices
- Guide teams in strategic utilization of data quality tools and governance frameworks
- Collaborate with executive and non-technical stakeholders to communicate data quality insights
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management within healthcare environments
- Strong expertise in CollibraDQ, OwlDQ, or InformaticaDQ
- Experience with data quality rules, workflows, dashboards, and scorecards
- Healthcare payer domain knowledge including claims, eligibility, and provider data
- Strong understanding of SQL and ETL/ELT processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure Data Services and Databricks
- Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau reporting tools
- Experience with automated data quality monitoring and observability metrics
- Strong documentation, facilitation, and problem-solving abilities
