Job Description:

Wine and Spirits shop that focuses on small production producers located in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn has an opening for a position 25 to 35 hours a week.

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a driven and personable candidate with strong interpersonal skills. Knowledge of wine and spirits is essential. The role requires availability on evenings and weekends.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
-Deliver outstanding customer service and offer informed sales recommendations to our customers.
-Ensure the sales floor is clean, wiped, organized and fully stocked
-Process all types of retail transactions
-Perform store opening and closing procedures when necessary
-Assist with purchasing and pricing
-Perform other assigned tasks and duties

QUALIFICATIONS
-2-5 years experience in food/beverage or other retail wine/spirits desired
-Demonstrated ability to interact well with customers
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
-MUST be able to lift and carry 40 lbs on a regular basis
-MUST be able to work evening and weekend shifts
-MUST be able to respect work hours
-Some experience with POS
-MUST have positive attitude
-MUST be a team player

Compensation: $21- $23/hr Compensation is based on experience, with additional commission for corporate clients or catering clients secured by the employee.

There will be an 1 month probationary period upon hiring.
