Client Service Associate(Choose between Melville or NYC Offices)
Overview
Hector is the Director of Investments at an independent financial planning and wealth management firm, Forest Hills Financial Group. Since 1980, we have been helping individuals and businesses plan and pursue their financial objectives, and create strategies aligned with their needs. In addition to his role as Director of Investments, he is a Certified Financial Planner® helping clients in his own practice. This position will allow you to gain valuable insight and experience in financial planning and investments, including but not limited to, insurance strategies, analyzing and understanding investment portfolios and statements, and retirement planning for individuals and corporations.
Description
This role is full time Client Service Associate supporting one or more financial advisors. This position will be facilitating day-to-day transactional needs including entering and maintaining client records and establishing accounts. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and highly resourceful team player who is effective independently and with little direction. The candidate must possess the following skills:
- Strong organizational skills with critical attention to detail
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal, and written communication and customer service skills
- Capable of maintaining the utmost confidentiality of all client and company information
- Tech-savvy and able to quickly learn new software and applications
- Highly dependable with exceptional time management skills
Role and Responsibilities
This role primarily focuses on the following responsibilities:
- Analyzing financial statements
- Composing, filing, and handling all electronic and paper documents/correspondence
- Arranging client meetings by developing itineraries and agendas
- Compiling and entering data for various reports
- Directly communicating with clients and internal/external teams on behalf of the Advisor
- Preparing and establishing client accounts
- Managing a dynamic and complex calendar of appointments and meetings

Qualifications
- Experience as a Client Service Associate Preferred
- Experience supporting financial advisors, attorneys, or accountants Preferred
- College degree preferred
- Work authorization: United States (Required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- 3-4 years of administrative or professional office experience required
- Must complete background check and sign confidentiality agreement
- Experience with E-Money, NetX360, and Envestnet a plus
- Financial background a plus
Location
Candidate must be able to work out of the Long Island (Melville) offices for a 3-6 month training period. After that, there may be an opportunity for hybrid work (home and office).

Pay: $62,951.00 - $70,270.00 per year
