The Role: Senior Back-End Engineer

This is a Senior Back-End Engineering role focused on building and scaling the core infrastructure behind a new product initiative. You will design, develop, and optimize the systems that power web and mobile applications, ensuring performance, reliability, and security at scale.

You’ll collaborate closely with front-end, product, and infrastructure teams while contributing to architectural decisions and technical direction.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance back-end systems, APIs, and databases
• Architect scalable, secure server-side solutions capable of handling high transaction volumes
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and DevOps teams
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment
• Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
• Stay current on emerging trends in backend development, fintech, and blockchain

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of back-end development experience, including time in a senior capacity
• Strong experience with Node.js, Express, and TypeScript (Nest.js is a plus)
• Experience building and scaling RESTful APIs and distributed systems
• Solid understanding of SQL databases (NoSQL exposure is a plus)
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with caching and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka)
• Proficiency with tools like Postman, Git, or Bitbucket
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
