Project Engineer

New York Power Authority (Marcy, NY) seeks Project Engineer to manage complex engineering projects, including management of personnel, safety, quality, scope, schedule, and budget to deliver successful project outcomes. Responsible for Project Management for all stages of the project lifecycle from initiation through close out for engineering projects and/or programs and ensuring deliverables are received incompliance with schedule. Organize engineering project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules, and determine resource requirements. Monitor and report on the status of engineering projects including cost, timing, and stang. Ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards. Oversee and coordinate in-house as well as external resources for all activities related to engineering projects. Ensure applicable licensing, environmental, permitting, safety, code compliance, construction, and requirements/input of all project stakeholders are incorporated into projects. Develop and manage design documents/specications, project presentations, Trustee Items, project funding requests, budgets, forecasts, bid documents, evaluate bid proposals, and make award recommendations. Partner with Construction Engineers, Engineering, Customers or Service Providers in developing/negotiating contract change orders, preparing invoices and coordinating construction sequencing and site outages, coordinate all eld & design changes and quality testing/inspections. Review and contribute to all engineering project documentation including drawings, technical specications, assessment reports, asset and risk registry, budgets, forecasts, invoices, schedules, variances, etc. for projects. Requirements: Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering field, and two (2) years of experience in either engineering project management in the utilities or commercial electrical industries, or general electrical engineering experience.
