Position: Diesel Technician/Mechanic Instructor

Location: Jamaica Queens

Employment Type: Full-time

Overview: Join our team as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic Instructor, where you'll play a key role in delivering engaging and informative instruction to students. Under the supervision of the Dean of Academic Affairs, you will support the college's mission by maintaining the integrity of our academic program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver dynamic instructional activities to promote student engagement.
• Implement and adapt curriculum to meet course objectives.
• Ensure safety and compliance in laboratory settings while instructing students on tool usage.
• Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Conduct classes at scheduled times and attend professional development workshops.

Qualifications:

• No Teaching Experience Required – We will teach you how to teach!
• High school diploma, certificate, or associate’s degree (or higher).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the diesel industry.
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance, diesel technology practices
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in industry-related software; familiarity with Gmail, MS Word, and Canvas is a plus.
• ASE preferred or willing to earn by specific target dates – Diesel – (T4, T6, T8)
