TravelNurseSource is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified Other RN in Oswego, New York, 13126!

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Primary Care . This role is primarily focused on  phone triage , where the RN will assess patient concerns, provide clinical guidance, and coordinate care efficiently. The nurse may occasionally assist with patient rooming and administering injections , but the primary responsibility will be telephonic patient support.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who is skilled in communication, clinical assessment, and patient education in an outpatient environment.

Assignment Details:

• Location: Oswego, NY

• Schedule: Monday – Friday

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Hours: 40 hours/week

• Duration: 8-week assignment

• Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform phone triage , assessing patient symptoms and determining appropriate care

• Provide clinical advice, education, and follow-up instructions to patients

• Coordinate with providers and clinical staff for patient care plans

• Document all patient interactions accurately in the EMR system

• Assist occasionally with:

  • Rooming patients

  • Administering injections

• Ensure patient safety and maintain confidentiality at all times

Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience

• BLS certification required

• Experience in primary care, outpatient, or triage nursing preferred

• Proficiency with Meditech charting system

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and patient interaction abilities

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

• Active RN license (state-specific as required)

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient setting

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Patient-focused approach with high attention to detail
