Title: Senior Solutions Architect

Location; NYC and Tristate area

Senior Solution Architect - BlackHawk Data

What You Will Do

• Technical Leadership & Design : Lead the design and delivery of seamless, scalable IT architectures, emphasizing network security, cloud integrations, and complex network structures for our clients. Define best practices and establish frameworks for secure, resilient, and efficient designs.
• Client Engagement : Lead client-facing discussions to understand their unique needs, translating business goals into actionable technical requirements and implementation strategies.
• Solution Development : Craft end-to-end solutions, including creating detailed schematics, architectural diagrams, and comprehensive bills of materials. You’ll engage in all stages, from discovery to delivery.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with engineering, project management, and sales teams to scope, define, and deliver Managed Services, Network-as-a-Service, and Professional Services engagements that exceed client expectations.

The Ideal Candidate Has

• Experience : 7+ years in solution architecture, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and overseeing complex IT infrastructures for large-scale clients.
• Thought Leadership : Demonstrated ability to lead sales and strategy discussions, showcasing deep industry knowledge and a proactive approach to technology challenges.
• Technical Skills :
• Network Architecture : Expertise in BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, network segmentation, VRF, and other advanced networking protocols.
• Security Frameworks : Proficiency in NGFW, SWG, SASE, ZTNA, email security, endpoint protection, and identity management.
• Cloud Proficiency : In-depth experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure, including hybrid-cloud designs and data center integrations.
• Backup & Data Center : Knowledge of backup solutions, data center designs, and storage best practices.
• SD-WAN and SD-Access : Understanding of SD-WAN and SD-Access technologies, with experience in configuring and managing these environments.
• Wireless Networks: Strong skills in wireless networking including RF design with predictive surveys understanding or post surveys and APoS survey design
• Optical Networks : working knowledge of WDM and PON technologies
• Cable Plant Design : Ability to design cable routes for fiber and copper for in building and campus networks.
• Vendor Knowledge : Familiarity with leading technology solutions from Cisco, Fortinet, Arista, HPE/Aruba, Palo Alto, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Zscaler, Cloudflare, and VMware.
• Soft Skills : Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities, with a knack for translating technical details into strategic value for clients.
