Our client located in Staatsburg is looking to add a Junior Staff Accountant to their team. As the Staff Accountant, you will be working in a small CPA firm that focuses on taxes and corporate formation with a team of about 6 others. All training is provided by the client - this is an exciting position that is an excellent opportunity to grow and enhance your expertise.


In order to be prosperous as the Junior Staff Accountant, you must have:

»A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

» practice with Microsoft Excel and Word

» capability to work independently and with a team

»Professional written and oral communication expertise


Junior Staff Accountant Job tasks:

»Prepare individual and corporate tax returns

»Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other documents

»Prepare monthly general journal entries for Revenue

»Assist with the month end close and quarterly preparation of Revenue Accounts.

»Complete all end of month work papers and general ledger reconciliations of Revenue accounts for timely closing

»Annual audit: coordinate, preparing, present required information for auditors


This is a full time, temp-to-hire position paying $40,000-$50,000 per year. Working hours are typically,9am-5pm, 32-40 per week, but will increase to about 50 per week during the busy season. This is an entry level positions - new grads are encouraged to apply!
